I have an area about 3sq.m Tyrolean to patch up on the front of my house where I've taken an old porch down.

My question is, should I scratch the undercoat before applying Tyrolean or leave it smooth?

Any other tips greatly appreciated.

Thank you

theres no need to scratch it ...is the tyrolean colour mix or sand and cement... if its colour mix paint sum to the cement backing first before u start to spray

Thanks for the reply egg.

I haven't started or got any materials yet. Been searching for info (google etc).

Seems I need to use "cullamix" sprayed on with one of those hand-cranked flinger thingies?

Are there any other materials than cullamix, and how would I do it with the "sand and cement" that you mention?

Thanks.

if u going to paint the finished job to match the rest of the house u b better off useing sand and cement. mix 2sand 1part cement mix it to a slurry [ very wet] make sure u keep moveing the tyrolean gun so u get an even finish and build up the tyrolean at stages to match wat u got on the house ... hav fun ... i supposed to b doing it to day on site but the weathers to bad.. good luck
