need bathroom diwnloghts - 80mm cutout

Hi folks.

I've got myself stuck. I need to find some replacement downlights for two bathrooms I'm finishing and I'm really struggling to find any that will fit the original cut outs.

The room is decorated and the issue is that the existing holes are approx 80mm, which is much larger than common modern sizes. To make matters worse the stores don't let you filter by cutout sizes - I've bought and returned a few now and have run out of time.

Does anyone happen to know of a model that would fit? nothing fancy, just a chrome or nickel round LED lamp, either fixed or GU10.

Ideal would be something I could click and collect from Screwfix/Toolstation/CEF/etc.

Ansell Freska AFRLED. The new circular LED panels are IP44, ignore google. 125mm cutout smallest though I think.

That one was a bit big but your pointer to Ansell and a bit of digging showed me the Ansell Edge - IP65 so can go over the bath and requires a 76mm cutout. I'm guessing that this won't cause a problem fitting them in my 80mm cutouts - the bezel will cover the hole provided the springs will span OK.

Crap: one further question if I may. The Ansell Edge are loop-in/loop-out. My existing circuit simply has a single cable coming through the ceiling behind each downlight (with L/N/E). I'm assuming I can still use a loop-in/loop-out-type downlight even if I only intend for each downlight to be fed by a single 3-core cable, is that right?

Yes, that’s fine. Easier with one cable. It just has provisions for two.
