The roofers here ( excluding tel. the troll) and myself, a retired plumber who did leadwork , could do with a picture of your chimney, thanks.(y)

Unfortunately not had any joy with this yet.

I've had about 4/5 different roofers out all say different things and wont get back to me with any quotes!!! its like they don't wont the job!

I only seem to get water penetration when there is a substantial amount of rain/wind. So i suspect its soaking in through the brickwork. I'm probably going to get it re-pointed and silicone sealed in the spring, and hope that sorts it. Either that or a lead tray fitted.

Sorry to hear that, sounds annoying. We had a similar issue and had new soakers/flashing which didn't have any effect. We've since had new concrete on the flaunching and a water seal painted on the brickwork (pointing was fine apparently) but have yet to have any heavy rain to see if that's worked! Fingers crossed.

A lead tray means a take down and rebuild :(

Just had a bit of rain and ours is still leaking :( Any suggestions for what to try next? We were told the pointing looking in ok condition but that is the only other thing I can think of. The tiles we're told look fine, the pots have covers, so not sure what's left!

Try the condition of the flaunching on the top around the pots.

They looked at that last time and while they said it looked in decent condition they did lay some new cement on it just in case....
