Hi my soil connector needs replacing and is internal so limited space etc. Please could you advise the best method tia

Sorry the pipe is boarded. It is an internal soil and I believe may be still leaking from the a straight connector. The connection is on the staircase and so is below the wc but above the waste connections of the kitchen sink which is adjacent. Could you advise please if the best way to repair is to cut out section and add slip collar etc?
