I have a Premier that is approx 2 years old. Ive had this issue a few times over the past few months and sometimes it clears itself.

I get the system alerts on the screen then:

mains power off
battery fault
ps failure

There is live AC going in to the system. If I turn the system off and disconnect the battery then it looses the time and date - should this happen?

Any Idea's please? The unit is located in a wardrobe and is not prone to heat or cold spells.

Thanks

Yes if you disconnect both mains and battery ...it’s either a bad battery or the psu is on its way out ...

I changed the battery and still same issue. I've looked online and there seems to be different versions of the psu. I have the plastic body case. Which psu is the lastest version please. Thanks

Do you know what version I should replace it with? I read elsewhere on this site that it should be -6 at the end but I can't seem to find anyone selling those.

Latest psu version HAD1000-5
Texecom also recommend up grading firmware to version5.04
These psu's are a pain in the a***. Texecom need to be brought to account over this issue.

I have the texecom smartcom. Can I upgrade the firmware via this? Thanks for your reply

To firmware by smart com you need a TCS cloud account, it certainly can be done.

however with a -6 psu there should be no need to switch off the battery test with 5.04.01 firmware (thios was done as grade 2 devices dont need the battery monitoring and as a temporary fix until the psus became faulty and or got replaced a annual service.
