Our Low Voltage extractor fan has failed and I have an inline one to replace it which is more powerful. Is it alright for me to do the wiring myself as all the wiring is in the loft, none in bathroom itself. At the moment our existing fan is fed from a double pole isolator with 3a integral fuse, the switch live is turned on by the light switch. So the only change I am making is to put in a triple pole isolator before the fan itself and the wiring associated with that.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I only asked because someone told me the bathroom was off limits if not qualified electrician but all the fan wiring is in loft and I just wanted to check first.

Adding new circuits is a no no. Existing circuit is fine. In your own home though, who would know?

This is replacing failed components and correcting a wrong accessory so nothing new about it.
