Hi could anyone help please. This boiler has always been noisy when it fires up. I have recently had the boiler serviced and the engineer thinks that it might be the burner that is at fault, but he is not certain. I don't mind having it replaced but would like to know what other people thought. Surely the burner is just a lot of holes. I do admit I know very little about these things. Thanks.

Hi thanks for reply. Do you think it would be a good idea to get it replaced?

Dunno , I havent heard it, I think they are about £150 or so , bit of a gamble if it isnt that

They are well known for having explosive ignition issues (hence their nickname Flexibomb). You might be best off getting Glow-worm out on a fixed price repair to sort it

Thanks for replies. The boiler fires up ok but it seems get gradually louder.

As already suggeted a Glow -worm fixed price repair is your best bet , and covers the parts and you will get a warranty with it
