Neighbours having an extension at the same time

Two properties (joined terraced) want to infill the yard space at the same time. The extensions are 5.6m from the original wall so will be applied for under Larger Home Extension. Should each individual set of drawings show the proposed extension for the neighbour too? Thank you

I didn’t know you could submit a joint application for Prior Approval applications as PA’s cannot be conditioned as such to commence/complete together!?!

Do you mean full householder planning?

Yes... although Householder and Full applications are slightly different. You’d need a HH application.
 
But what about the benefits if the Prior Approval? It's cheaper if nothing else. If HH (which I'm not sure what that is and I'm currently looking on the Planning Portal) is what it needs to be, so be it. But what happens if approval is given or a joint scheme and one party pulls out?
 
As I mentioned, I didn’t think you could submit a PA application that relates to two properties. With your normal joint applications, LPA’s would normally condition the approval that one cannot commence/complete without the other. They can’t condition PA applications.

Any joint applications would have to be agreed by both parties and making sure both are aware of their obligations. The approval is conditioned on the basis that both carry out the works at the same time. If one decides to not carry out or pull out from the works, it’ll void your Planning approval. Depending on the relationship between Planning and Building Control, BC may also look to request a joint application for them. This has happened on one of mine in the past.
 
To be safe then, do Prior Approval separately with a covering letter for each notifying the LPA of the other's intentions? That way either side has no obligations?
 
Or just make sure when a PA application is submitted, the neighbour does not object.
