We're having victorian chequered tiles added to our front door step currently. All the tiles are down and they're yet to be grouted.
The guy doing the job for us has mentioned he's left a bit of an overhang across the edge of the step. I'd say its about half a centimetre in total, he's mentioned that when he does the grouting he'll lead some tile adhesive from the mortar of the bricks below to give it support.
Is this right? I'm imagining after it's been weathered a bit the weight of a foot on the edge will just snap these off. Pictures attached. Any suggestions? Will they be fine? Strip tiles and question and cut them to size so there's no overhang?
