Steel Door - alarm contact recommendation

I'm fitting a steel personnel door to an outbuilding (https://www.lathamssteeldoors.co.uk/panelled-security-doors/security-cottage-style-steel-door/, in case anyone is interested), and I suspect that, being steel, a regular reed-switch door contact might not work as well as it would on a regular wood door.

Is there any sort of specific contact that I should consider using for this type of door, different to the normal recessed contact?

A mechanical switch is probably the best option,

Thanks, that's a good idea and will probably be a bit more robust than a little reed switch. Will have a look and will probably talk to the door supplier too to see what they recommend.

This looks a decent alternative too - bit more tamper proof too....if it works!

Never had an issue with contacts on a steel door ....standard surface contact will be fine..... elmdene QST series surface mc
