By really tall I mean 6'4" or above.

I'm a short arse at 5'8" maybe a tad over. I've often wished I was a bit taller, 5'10" seems an ideal height to me. Although an increasing amount of people seem to tower over me these days (is it just me or are more youngsters hitting 6' and over?) on balance I don't mind being a bit shorter. It means I have no issues with things like getting clothes, getting into small cars, not p1ssing people off when sitting in front of them in the theatre etc. Even more random things like getting on/off theme park rides isn't an issue whereas I see some taller people struggle. Recently when doing work under my house, the hatch and space to actually get under was so tight I reckon anyone 6' or over would struggle to even get down there. So there are some advantages to being a bit shorter.

So, are you tall and if yes what are the advantages and disadvantages from your perspective? Also, do you ever wish you were slightly shorter?

Reminds me of one of verses from the song "Rain drops keeps falling on my head".
It goes "just like the man who's feet are too big for his bed, nothing seems to fit".

Thats sums it up perfectly, i am 6'4", i was 6'2" when i was 16, and could never get clothes to fit, that is why i never shop for clothes online, too much hassle sending them back when you find that extra large in the far east is not the same as extra large in Britain.

Also i couldn't get a job as a bus driver, which was a bit disappointing.

I’m not that tall (5’11”) but I must seem tall to some old ladies in the supermarket as I’m always being asked to get things off the higher shelves for them.

I knew someone in the 80s who was a basketball player.

He used to tell people "I'm 5 foot 22" "

What was their height limit? I wonder if that rule still stands today?

We visited the wifes uncle in Vancouver, I had never met them before, at the airport they both remarked how tall I was and regularly refered to my height for the two weeks we were there, I am 5' 10"

I'm 5'9, shorty!

I was always the smallest in school, being a summer baby, that used to annoy me. Was crap at most sports as competing with people much bigger. Not bothered by it now, but my wife does like a taller man! I think one of my sons will tower over me soon, my wife is about 5'8, and her dad's side of the family all over 6 feet.

Reminded me, had 3 very tall tradesmen in over the years, all who found their job much easier. First was a curtain fitter, then a builder who plastered the ceiling without a step while the others needed steps, then a tall electrician who found lights a breeze.

Does anybody pick jobs to suit their height? I remember a large, overweight plumber really struggling under a sink once.

Sounds like you are describing me!
Born in the summer holidays, 5'9", crap at sports except cross country and used to be quite good at darts. My son is taller than me and my wife is 5'6" (thankfully she is quite happy with my size ;) )

We don't mind short people, really we don't. It would be nice if you could all wear a flashing beacon on your head to prevent us treading on you.

You can also sue your county council, I know a few who pocketed £1000's just because they short !

Small people also tend to be more aggressive than tall people sometimes,
bit like small dogs such as terriers and Jack Russell's.
I guess if big dogs were as aggressive as small dogs then there wouldn't be any small dogs left.
Same could apply to people.

It's called 'little man syndrome' & something that has often bit me on my arse. Some of the best streetfighters I've ever met have been under 5' 6".

I find it rather intriguing you've met street fighters? You'll also will find many SAS soldiers are very lean and wiry and not nearly as big as you'd think - same with other rigorously trained special forces members
