Hi all

As part of refurbishment works I am looking to install low profile underfloor heating downstairs.

Currently I have upstairs, downstairs and hw on separate zones controlled via Hive. I’m wanting to be able to control each room downstairs separately and potentially each room upstairs as well.

is this possible and if so what comteols would be ideas?

thanks

Firstly I'd suggest reducing the typing speed, and concentrating on getting all the letters in the right order, then it would be much easier to read and understand.
Secondly, you didn't specify whether you wanted each room controlled via your app, or via a local thermostat; that is important when suggesting options for you.
For each UFH zone (each room) you'll need a thermostat. Check out the John Guest Aura range to see if it meets your criteria, especially if you want to integrate it with your Hive app.
For upstairs rooms (on radiators?) you can buy motorised TRV heads; again select the ones that integrate with your app.

Finally, unless you're using OpenTherm control on your boiler I would steer clear of the Honeywell control system, with its annoying TPI algorithm.

Talk to your UFH engineer, he will probably suggest actuators on each port on the UFH manifold and each port will be a single room. Those actuators would then be controlled, usually via a control centre, by their own room stat and that in turn could be controlled remotely, if that's a requirement.
