Upgrading control panel

Hi everyone hope your all well..

My missus has a question about the control panel of our alarm system. She is wondering if it possible to be able to upgrade the control panel to something a bit more high tech. She is wanting something that can connect to the WiFi so she is able to monitor the alarm when she is out of the house etc. I have attached pictures of the panel and the system for reference and if anyone could recommend a good "smart" control panel if possible?

You'll be able to do that with one of the decent panels currently available Eg. Honeywell Galaxy Flex, Texecom, Etc. Your current system is wired, so you can use the existing sensors / wiring, just replacing the control panel and keypad. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's not rocket science and there are a few on here to guide you along the way. It's always better if you can hard wire Ethernet from your panel to router, then apps etc can connect to the router as normal.

So il be able to get say for example the texecom premier elite control panel and that will work fine with my honeywell sensors etc.

Yes. You may need to open the sensor and add a couple of resistors, but you can still reuse.

I'm not a fan of Texecom, but others can help you with it.

Pyronix Euro much simpler for domestic than texecom in my opinion

Thats brilliant thankyou the texecom was just used as a example . You will all probably have a thread saying "how the hell do I do this soon"

In general, I would avoid WiFi for panel connection, as it's just another point of failure in the comms path.

Also check cloud options and costs. If there's only one cloud option, you have no choice but to accept price increases or lose functionality. I'm not a fan of any system that relies on remote services to remain operational.
