Update Texecom SmartCom firmware using V2 app

Hello

In the previous Connect app, you could update firmware by entering the engineer code at the logon prompt and then pressing the "i".

I can't seem to do this in the V2 app. Is there an alternate method for firmware update that doesn't require the cloud service (which isn't available to end users)?

I believe (Although I haven’t tried it yet) that if you log in as the installer, any updates will be automatically offered.

Having looked you have to login into app with engineers login email and password followed by engineers panel login and it does automatically display.

Otherwise it doesn't appear to be available

Hmmm, no installer details showing in the Connect App system information and no engineer email address showing under "manage users". Any idea how I add installer details?

Luckily my wife still had the old v1 app so I updated it through her phone. Hopefully Texecom aren't going to deny end users the ability to update firmware. Regular firmware updates are vital now for security, especially for the Internet connected ComIP.

When I upgraded from v1 to v2 of the app it asked me to setup an email address and password.

@bsr you need to ask that question to Texecom

You maybe be able to set up a new user at engineers level but they would need an email and password.
However you cant use the same email address as a user it would have to be a separate one, unfortunately I am unable to confirm this as an Installer I have the correct access levels.

My understanding is that endusers can not register as installers officially and they do try and screen between them.
