Soffits fitted. Facials will be done after the tin goes on to get it tucked up nice and tight.

Roof tin on! Been a blustery day so was like flying a kite at times! Need to put more tex screws in and the ridge still to go on but well chuffed with it. Bought second hand time last year. 30 sheets of 2ftx10ft for £150 delivered. Was the bargain of the year I think. Looks a bit rough but like how it will blend in to look like it’s been there for years. Might buy some kind of oxide/zink paint to give it a bit more life but definitely could stay as it is and look ok. Mrs Dee not 100% on it but will see what it looks like once the ridge is on. Also needs 2ft trimming off so will whip out the angle grinder when the weathers better. Also want to get the guttering so I know how much to actually trim off.

I think it looks good with the overhang as it is, although would make fitting guttering difficult to say the least

In hindsight I would have built it with an overhang. But when I designed it and ordered the timber it was all based around minimal waste and trying to be cheap so 8ft roof timbers was decided. Never mind.

Woodwork is impressive , disappointed with the tin roof though , wondered why so few battens . What is planned for the huge door opening , too wide for two doors surely , do you intend to insulate roof and walls ?

Yes I’m hoping the patina of the roof will blend in. Would hate for it to stand out like a sore thumb. 4 lats is plenty. Any more would be over kill IMO. Double doors are planned. The opening is around 12ft wide so hoping this will do the job. 3 big hinges per door. Hoping to insulate one day. Osb will be inset into the frame, I’ve started attaching battons to fix to.

if your doors are 6 ft long they need to be a few inches lower than the roof overhang and gutter iff fitted so you will need a head above the doors to fill the gap when shut

the overhang looks lower than the height off the door opening
if that is so as you open the doors they will stop at the point they hit the roof underside
