If your electrician mate is going to test it then it is he who should be telling you what to install.

So is it how you recommend then? This is how he said he doing it. I am saying is it ok? He said he has to put spike in but none others in yard has spike

Is it ok to ask or not

Fuses or MCB? 32A is not a usual fuse size for domestic fuse boards.

Not used me mate before, used landlords lad, mate says they all wired wrong cos they metal but landlord says loadsa rubbish they all fine.me mates good bloke

It depends on the supply type to the other containers, but it could be right that they have all been done incorrectly.

32A supply fuses and TT earthing and a local RCD does sound like the proper way to do things.

Well he had a look at the cabins an said they got no rcd and no spike they made a metal so they ain’t right but I ain’t paying for it.

The lad said put it on 20 if using 16mm me mate says 32 is good butt 40 is on edge so stick at 32 cos it’s better for a test so I get a bit about it but 2 sparkies can’t tell me different so I’ll stick wiv me mate

I would agree that 32A is fine. 40A will just scrape through with 0.5% VD to spare but not ideal as your compressor will have a reasonable inrush current upon start up

Thanks rf, me mate charging more than the lad said but I don’t mind. Now I know who right. Ave a good night mate
