Can you get osme sort of pipe collar for outside to hide some of the mess from my core drill?

Classic blow out. Try looking for Talon waste pipe collars (35 and 42mm sizes from Toolstation), but I suspect that they may be too small

Do you do know that you should have drilled all the all way through, slowly, with a pilot drill first, then drilled in from both sides with the core drill and pilot bit? We'd normally just cut the brick out, replace it (new mortar, obviously) then redrill once the mortar has gone off. Anything stuck on the outside of the brickwork is likely to just fall off and architects just won't let us use them

Square it off and fill with mortar, with a bit of dye or brick dust from the drill. Try and make it a bit neater than the one two courses down.

I bought a snug fit pipe collar and it neatened it up nicely, just a bit around edges that you can see but doesn't look too bad

I sill remember that for the future J+N. Cheers
