I need to drill into a plasterboard to hold things that I'll be hanging up.
But... the plasterboard has tiling on.

I would have used hollow wall anchors... but because of the tiling, I cant use.

Not sure what to use. I have to consider the thickness of the tiling in addition to the plasterboard.

EDIT: I was thinking of using spring toggles.
But then... as far as I can see, these are single use only?
Once you take out the grip holding thing simply falls down into the cavity?

Looking for some suggestions.
Thanks.

You can get extended wall anchors.

Also you could attach to a stud.

You can also use regular wall plugs and push them past the tile so you don't expand them in the tile and risk cracking.

I have seen. Can you show me some?

Also you could attach to a stud.
That would be perfect. But how do I detect a stud through tiling?
I have a stud detector - will that detect through tiling??
BUT... I'm starting from a corner... and only need to drill 40cm - that's the width of the shelving.
How many cm from the corner will the stud be?
Drilling into a stud would be magical and solve all problems.

You can also use regular wall plugs and push them past the tile so you don't expand them in the tile and risk cracking.
I didn't realise there was any risk of the tiles cracking?
Pushing the wall plugs would work I guess... just wondering if it might be fiddly and have the plug keep dropping out?

Thanks.

You can use standard wall plugs but depends how well tiles are fixed as to weight they will hold , never cracked a tile using this method.
