Hello chaps, I have some brick work to repair on my garage corner.

Like most are, the corner is a two brick thick pillar, so should I be ok to just chop out the damaged bricks and slip a new one in, packed with slate and mortar? I was going to chop out the bottom left brick and half of the one above.

Ok to crack on as is or should I really get some strong boys and slip them in with some acros?

Thanks

Crack on if that is part of a wall going back beyond the pier.

Don't put London Rustics back tough.(n)

Strong boys and acro propos?

Just gob it up with mortar. Chop a closer in to the bottom one.

Might have a few rustics knocking about ;) or some engineering bricks.

They tend to hold moisture and suffer from spalling with freeze/thaw, especially below DPC. However to match up for an extension above DPC you could use them.

Yes that's what's happened to them here.
