I want to construct two 330mm piers joined by a single brick wall (X2) at the front of my driveway. I have a large shrub (Hibiscus, now c. 4.5m high) on one side & a small tree (a Juneberry that is approx 2m high at present) on the other side. When making the foundations, to preserve the root structures, I thought I could create a bridge using prestressed concrete lintels... Is this feasible for such small constructions? Your advice would be appreciated.

Yes common on garden walls where access is needed to manhole cover it needs to pass over .
