Hi

What is this switch show in this picture on the right? Is it an external isolator to the conservatory?

Could be a socket.

Or more likely a neet way to bring the cable out the house to conserverty

So its nothing more than a device which cuts off power to the area it is supplying power to?

My previous house owner had one of those rotary isolators on the armored cable that went to their Hot Tub (hot tub was Hard wired, no plug & socket).

The rotary isolator Setup looked exactly like that.

I presumed it was so Hot Tub could be isolated when they were in the garden, before cable went underground, both poles so safer than MCB isolation, and could be done whilst they were at a distance from the hot tube itself.

It also switched both the Live and Neutral so presumed was good for isolating/testing RCD issues.

Ah, I had noticed that. Maybe the 'explanation' (that seemingly got edited away) directly or indirectly revealed the identity of the OP, perhaps?

Kind Regards, John

It was a link to a firm selling conservatories and had several photos from different angles, i dont think it is the OP's house.
