Hi all,

Could someone kindly advise what is a good tape to use for wall edges and corners, before I paint the wall.
Please share name of product.

Thanks.

Frogtape. I use the yellow one mostly as it won't peel bad surfaces.

Thanks daggermark.
However, I actually was talking about the tape they use on corners, and paint over them. I don't know the technical term for the corners, but I've attached an image.
What I want to do is to tape these corners and also corners which are outside-L shape (like in pillars) (sorry, don't know technical term), and then paint over these, so that the corners don't chip off. I don't have beads on the corners, as it's an old house.

any recommendations please?

I'm not sure I've ever heard of tape that you put on and paint over. There's corner jointing tape which is a metal-reinforced tape for plasterboard corners, which is filled over with Easifill before being sanded and painted, is this what you mean?

I would say Yes. Corner Jointing tape.
The thing is the corners are chipping off - due to my kids - and I can see a paper edge. So i assume there is some paper which is below the paint on the corners. The house is not plasterboard, it's an 1930s house.

So i guess it's this corner jointing tape. Could you recommend what tape I should buy (if you can give a link that would be fantastic, or atleast the name). and then over this tape, you mentioned easifill. would this https://www.toolstation.com/gyproc-easifiller-ready-mixed-filler/p34950 be ok?
