Hi all, first post here :)

I have a Visonic Power Master 33 which I installed 4 years ago and has been working fine. Yesterday the system said 'no network' for the shock sensor on the hall window. Shock and PIR sensors further away report excellent signal..

The window does not open / the sensor hasn't been touched so I changed the battery (over 3V new) - no change. I removed the device from the system and when I went to add it again pressing the enroll button gave a red LED rather than the amber..... I used the code on the device and the sensor enrolled, allowed me to adjust settings and gave a signal strength of excellent. A few mins later - system troubles - 'no network' for the shock sensor :(

I have even taken the sensor off and tried to set it up 1m from the main panel with the same issue.

Has anyone had similar happen? I just find it hard to believe a battery powered sensor can go wrong just sat there?

Thanks
Rob

Well I picked up a new sensor and it paired first time / all working ok. I have looked closely at the old PCB and can't see anything like broken tracks or anything. All a bit odd but it's sorted.

well looks like the sensor was faulty then.

sensors usually wont learn on, because of a fault or already on the system.

its hard to say whats going on for sure, some devices when they go low power, after removing the battery, using the tamper spring several times helps before replacing the battery
