Gas pipe run behind fire?

I had a new fire installed and there was an external valve next to the hearth tbe6 fitter has buried the last few inches behind the wall is this ok? Or is it against regs? Also ive read that it can cause duct issues? If so how? Thanks for any replies

You would conceal fix most fires and seal any air gaps around the fire surround

Thanks for the reply so its not against regs to have a few inches of pipe hidden in the wall next to the fire place? Thanks

No it’s not against the regs, best advice is to wrap the pipe to protect from plaster etc

I just wanted to make sure as it is behind the skirting and thought it may have the same rules as electric cables
