Timber framed.

You could just build a 240 wide timber frame on top of your cavity walls, rather than the typical 100 or 125 wide timber frame, then 12mm OSB + breather membrane + your vertical battens + your horizontal battens + cladding. Though stopping the cladding at 2ft above ground is a bit odd. Add a nice layer of 25mm Celotex + plasterboard all over the inside if you wish, that'd give you a service void behind the plasterboard too.

I've already changed my mind about stopping the cladding at 2ft above the ground.
I saw pictures of vertically clad buildings which had bricks showing below the cladding. I thought it looked good but I don't know why I said 2ft. I was thinking of only about 1ft showing.
Do you mean use 240 wide timber to build the frame? Or make up a ladder section 240 wide from smalle width wood? Cutting 240 wide will be a bit of a pig in my chopsaw but I can get round that.
