Hi,

Over recent years, I've
had to paint several of our cast radiators (previous owners had sadly not made the best of jobs).

Used white radiator wet spray but found that the Hammerite paint provides a better and longer lasting result.

Need to tackle two more radiators but this time we want a black or charcoal matt finish. Hammerite only do white radiator paint!!

Can anyone recommend a good alternative to the Hammerite radiator paint? A make/range that offers black or charcoal?

Thanks but limited colour options (although more than Hammerite's white or white) - also spray only.

As previously commented, I've more recently used Hammerite paint and been pleased with the results on our radiators (which have four vertical bars per section). Yes it's a challenge to get between sections but it provides better coverage than wet spray - something that's import as we're changing the colour of the paintwork.

Can I use standard Hammerite / Rustoleum? Am I right to think modern hammerite is actually water based or am I imagining that? Rustoleum do a Universal Satin black - again - any good for a cast radiator?
