We got French Doors and we chose the only open inwards option. That's fine for not getting blown open and swinging out.

The problem is the bet curtains are in the way so when i want to open the doors i have to slip under the curtains to get to the lock and then when i open i can't open them fully or the doors will obviously take the net curtain off the rail.

Any solutions for this?

Thanks.

When we used to have net curtains, we just used the cables, eyes and hooks. The eyes would go in to the end of the cable and I’d drill a tiny hole in the Upvc, screw the hook in by hand (no tools needed) then stretch and hook the cables on. Nothing special.

You could also use rods and 'L' hooks.

So the little hooks go in the PVC-door then we slot the cable-eyes through the hooks? I'm, confused about why the hooks are hanging out the end of the cables in your photo there.

Thanks.

The net curtain cable is basically a plastic covered spring. You need to cut it shorter than the distance between the two hook/eyes that are screwed into the window frame and stretch it to fit.

Oh I see, thanks.

as an aside
as said you need a 1.5mm drill bit
only the smaller 10mm or less chucks will close on a 1.5mm drill bit
so iff you have a larger 1/2"/13mm capacity chuck normally on mains or larger battery drill you are restricted to 2mm plus but dont be tempted as 2mm will make the hole to big and liable to fail
3 or 4 turns off electrical tape on a 1.5mm is not ideal but better than a 2mm bit
