ID please

I try to avoid plumbing jobs. Is it likely that the existing bar is soldered on or a screw on? If the former then that’ll mean getting a plumber. I only ask because I don’t want to make things worse by disturbing the current bar.

If you post a pic we should be able to tell you. If it's a standard bar mixer then most, if not all, will be 150mm centres (pipe to pipe) on 3/4" BSP nuts, all interchangeable.
 
See photo. Looks like 6 inches. I’ve been to three merchants this morning - never seen one like it but I did find very similar online but the spindle is much longer.
Someone suggested Workwin??
