hi , been experimenting with the outputs. im triing to acheive my backlit Odyssey box off in the day and on at night..
ive been swappping settings about in wintex,
global systems /control timers .. set times and days on and off.
panel outputs / control timers , selected control timer 1. output function.

the down side is with the multi meter on OP- and 12v+ the output just seems to be on all the time..
can some one tell me what im missing please..

Don't backlit bell boxes have photocell ? This tell the bell box when it is dark

Not that i know of mate.. seems to be on 24/7.
with that said.. why is my output programing not working buddy.. what else am i missing.. i tried to set it up again this morning and still reading 12v on op1- and 12v +
even when set to" Not used "

Photo cell makes the most sense rather than have it on 24 7, something the Orisec bells do have.

If the timer isn't working, how is it programmed, how is it wired (wrt to the led strip), which output, what is the output programmed up as, what the control timer program is programmed up as.

If you invert the output for example, then it should go from on to off if its correctly wired.

Panel output 1?

might be better easier using digi output

The control timers only change state when they pass the set time, like a time switch with pegs to set on and off. If you are testing it by changing the on and off times and expecting the timer to change state then it won't.

it needs a few minutes from memory to elapse but hence why asking how its wired and programmed.

there are threads on here covering that side.

could be timers wrong, it could be wired wrong to the led strip.

Thanks... rather than test on the fly again.. ive had a go with the elite 24 i have in the garage, ive disconected the LED 12v - and connected it to a spare core back to the panel and connected to OP1.
ive then set programing as below. (identical to a post on the Texecom forum )

is there much difference between the digi and OP outputs???

well garage works as it should . all set up on wintex, same machine. so i dont know why the outputs on the 48 in the house were showing voltage after the set "Off" time, i was trying to mock up with a multimeter...

Update:- ive tried once again with a multi meter, the im getting 13v+ on +12v and OP1-, constant including after ive set the output to be in an off state, would not having the sounder wired into the panel cause this?
ive noticed on the 48 there are quite a few Digi output entrys not done by my self, are these the factory defaults.

have you tried the digioutput as suggested?
Have you posted the wiring?
Where are you measuring between?

Seem to recall you may need a resistor on the panel output.
The manual tells you how the outputs are different.
Pre-programmed only matters if they are wired to a communicator, otherwise they are free to do with as you please pretty much.

Panel output 1 is certainly different, also if you look at the manual Output 1 or PG1 you will see its different between the PE24 and the 48.

Think you need to spend time reading the information available, I have to declare i don't use the panel outputs that often and tend to use the digi ones.

ive looked through the book of words a few times now.. i cant see any thing that states there is a difference between the elite 24 and elite 48 OP.
this below dosnt state anything different.

i will look into the digi outputs. im just experimenting to be honest.. everyday is a school day...

Search for PG1 there's a table with the outputs on.

There are threads on here also but it is easier to search via Google sometimes.

hello...
ok tried Digi 4 . same scenario
seems to have a constant voltage, multi meter test points between Digi 4 and 0v. gives 12.80v, i can program it to invert.. but not to shut off... ive tried multiple programes and times.
the wiring isnt hooked up yet.. im going to take the 12v + or 12v - of the Led in the odyssey box back to the panel (digi 4 in this case) just the same as the E24 i have in the garage.
images atttached, I selected one of the "never active " ports.
ive tested digi terminal 5 "never active" also showing Voltage.
