Everybody raves on about jet blue but I can't find it in any of the usual diy places. Where do you lot buy it from?

Why do you need jet blue specifically? Not sure you can still get it in it's original named form, not seen it in donkeys, I think there are ones that are a similar blue though.

It's just a jointing paste though and there are lots of newer alternatives that are just as good.

Yes, I'm just looking for a jointing compound to put on my olives for extra peace of mind.

When googling most people say Jet Blue is the best. Itll be a shame if I can't get any.

What do other people like?

Plumbers Mait, but it's difficult to get it to stay put on the olive, whilst you assemble the fitting and pipe.

Yup +2 ... single wrap of gas PTFE does it for me ... it's easy and clean and even then only on reused olives/fittings, never needed on new fittings or olives.

Jet Blue was an own-brand product marketed by Plumb Center. It was almost certainly actually Jet Lube, which is still widely available

No mention of which olives you’re applying to, so if being used on potable (drinking water) usually from the mains, then make sure whatever you use, ptfe or jointing compound, is suitable for this application, such as Wras approved.
