Drainage pipe hidden under conservatory

I have recently found an exposed waste pipe underneath my conservatory floor after we had a blockage and water seeped up. Having peeled the Lino back by what would have been the old external wall of the house there is a pipe that leads down to the waste pipe where the water from the kitchen runs out under the conservatory into the main drain in the garden . The pipe under the Lino is not sealed off and just had a shody piece of board sitting on top of it , no doubt so the previous occupier could lay the Lino . Have a couple of questions

1. should the pipe be sealed off .. if so how
2. I need to lay néw flooring in the conservatory ... if the pipe can’t or shouldn’t be sealed off I take it an inspection cover should be fitted so it can be lifted up rather than flooring over the top of it ... if there is a blockage in the main drain again it will no doubt back up and flood the conservatory again

I would put a 4D360 on it. You will have to remove the hopper and might need to lower the 4” a bit to get the lid on with a socket under it.

You could also just cap it off with a socket and cap end.

I've had the same problem, but my drain is capped off. Somehow, bluish white deposits have covered this drain cap (which is metal) - this suggests to me that the cap is possibly not watertight, and allowing water from my washing machine through, possibly at previous times when there's been a blockage. I'm not sure what to do with it, tbh. I attach photos of the drain cap, before and after cleaning off the deposits. Any advice would be appreciated.
