Pull switch help

Hi,
I have had to replace my bathroom pull chord unit as the chord snapped inside, the unit was ancient so I bought a replacement. There is only 2 red wires coming down from the ceiling and I'm unsure what wire goes where..
Help greatly appreciated.

One in each terminal. But post a photo to be sure.

One goes to one terminal on the switch and one goes to the other.

Only a problem if the switch outer case is made of metal.

Tell us the markings on the new switch (in case it's a 2 way one you have - in which case there will be three terminals to correctly choose from).
