Morning,

I am having new windows fitted and want to know how long the protective film can be left on the frames for? My bathrooms are due to be refurbished and retiled in about 4 weeks so i was proposing to leave the film on the frames in these rooms to protect during the works. For the kitchen I have removed the old tiles around the window prior to them being installed but it will probably be next year at least before the kitchen is refurbished and building works reach that room in the house. Should the tape be left on the frames in the kitchen to protect them from prospective building works or would this length of time make them difficult to remove in a year or so?? If removed, could masking tape be put over the frames at the time the building works happen to protect them??

Thanks,

Jamie.

A few weeks is fine, but longer and they disintegrate and become a nightmare.

Masking tape later on should be fine

If using masking tape, don't use cheap stuff. Frog tape is great
Or use card secured around the edges
