Could you find EU countries that are doing better than us going by latest trends?
you mean the UK is doing well because of its vaccination rollout?

The UK rollout that was only possible because of the 20 million vaccines that came from EU.

Why did they need the tax breaks?

If an English national working in Singapore works for more than 7 days in the Uk, they then become liable for paying that entire years tax to the UK. That’s why.
To avoid paying tax twice. Its not unreasonable to ask to not be worse off when offering to help.

Or more correctly, some of the doses came from a facility based in the EU, who were contractually bound to supply them.

I expect that will double within the next month
I am not sure -vaccine rollout is building in Europe.

once more vaccines manufacture in European plants builds, vaccine capacity in EU will exceed UKs

France for example, expects to have vaccinated over 50s by mid May.

without vaccines from the EU, the UKs rollout would be miles behind
something brexiters refuse to acknowledge

It wasnt some of the doses, it was around 20 million -without those the UK programme would be miles behind

how about we compare the number of vaccines the EU has exported compared to the USA

the EU could have allowed each EU nation to buy its own and play vaccine nationalism, or it could have thrown huge money at manufacturers and prevent any vaccine being exported

I just think those who love to say "the EU is doing rubbish on its vaccine rollout" could be grateful to them instead

Smaller countries? It doesn’t leave many. Lol.
Only Germany had a larger population than us!

I’d rather go down the route of saying how well WE are doing personally.

look at the total death rates

only looking at the last 7 days is meaningless....different countries are at different stages

Italy, Czech, Belgium, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro, San Marino all have worse death rates than us. I didn’t realise that countries were picked selectively to suit certain narratives.

7 day averages are incredibly important to look at current trends. I’m sure if we were in France’s position you’d think it was important, but going by your method France are in a better position than us....... see what i mean?

And there in lies your problem.
This is not a competition, but we should be working together. A pandemic affects us all, and if we keep all of the vaccines that we produce at the expense of others, we run the risk of further mutations that could come back and cause further probllems for us.

There is also an ethical question of why should you keep all the vaccines for yourself when thousands are dieing elsewhere and we could help them.
