Our shower pump is on the way out, so I've got a Stuart Turner showermate as a replacement. The old pump was on a makeshift shelf halfway up a stud airing cupboard, so I'm moving it to the floor.

The pipe feeds are all 22mm but the new and old pump are 15mm. The old pump has 22-15 hoses and the new has 15-15.

Can I re-use the old push-fit hoses or am I best off using a reducer on the pipe and using new? A fresh set of 22-15 hoses seem to cost as much as a pump.

If both ends of the old 22-15 are demountable pushfit and they look ok then reuse them, otherwise a pair of speedfit 22-15s and try and blag 2 x 150mm bits of 15mm copper

Excellent, cheers. I normally solder copper, I've not used push-fit before. Will see what they're like when they're off!

Speedfit & other demountable fittings are witchcraft- they work really well (just make sure on the copper tubes there are no burrs or dents or blobs of solder). Still don't really trust them where i can't see them, if you have a torch & all the kit solder fittings will be cheaper and look neater.

Just wanted to say cheers. The old compression hoses were a bugger to remove and weeped on re-use, so I soldered down to 15 and used the new.

Happy days.
