The article does support my previous comments; a) that Black people are more likely to be arrested, charged, and found guilty of crime, i.e the whole justice system is arraigned against them, and b) that Black people are more likely to resort to crime because the whole system is arraigned against them.
The first reason, does not really take into account the probability that racist police will effectively sabotage the evidence of crimes that they do not wish to solve, as occurred in the Stephen Lawrence murder, by white youths.

Thanks fo the up to date figures, I must confess that I did not notice the dates.
That chart does indeed show that Black people are far more likely to be killed, than white people in comparison to the percentage they represent in society.
It does not take into account the point I just mentioned in reply to Notch, that racist police will sabotage the enquiry into crimes that they have no interest in solving, as in the Stephen Lawrence murder by white youths.

But there never was a suspicion that All Lives do not Matter, so there was never a need for an 'All Lives
There was a perception that Black Lives do not Matter, so there was a need for a 'Black Lives
In America black people commit homicides at a higher rate than white, which may well explain why they are more likely to be killed by police
But really it should be a discussion about poverty and lack of opportunity rather than race....because poor white people commit homicides at similar rates.

But black people kill black people. Black people also kill Asian and white people...do they not.
When "kill whitey" becomes an acceptable joke, something has gone amiss.
Imagine if Jimmy Carr said a joke saying "kill blacky".....
The recent government report that had those who love being a victim crying in their milk, I wholly agree with.
It's poverty that's the issue more than actual supposed racism.

seriously I'm not remotely bothered, bad things happened 200+ years ago, i'm not expecting anyone from africa to apologies or feel guilty about what their ancestors did in the distant past, but we could have a good old moan about it if we wanted - couldn't we ?
