As an aside, how do you know they won't deliver to the UK? I've found Polish companies often have pretty good customer service where overseas customers are concerned.

Hi SFX,

The more I looked at it - the more I started thinking same as you - but using a continuous shower hinge and perspex sheet....just seemed very pricey

https://www.shower-glass.co.uk/show...e/continuous-shower-door-hinge-for-8mm-glass/

I was going to build a sloped brick upstand first (150-200mm high), with airbricks, then install a hinge along the wall, and swap out the glass for perspex.

Before this - I was going to use plastic corrugated roofing, but looked really ugly for such a small lightwell.

I've sent an email - but don't think they have my size. Also planned to swap glass out for for perspex - as safer - so then I'm spending alot of money for just the hinge.

What about a 2nd hand shower door/bath screen? Or would that be too big?

I been looking for cheap second hand shower screens that I could cut down - on ebay but I think most people are binning old shower screens these days!

Nothing cheap to be found. :(

If you were local, I think I've got atleast 2 old screens tucked away in a shed, always seems a shame to landfill them.

I made a cold frame out of an old shower door.

Yes I wish you were local! I'm all in favour of repurposing old stuff.

A shower screen hinge and panel is a good bit of engineering that could definitely be reused as a lid to something!

I'll keep looking on ebay and gumtree!
