Hello, I have a risco alarm and its been great, it was installed a couple of years ago and except for a couple of battery replacements its been no trouble.
But, the new monthly fee to use the app is making me want to change to something else, they never got around to adding geo-fencing to the app and it was a bit basic so ok, what do you guys recommend?

Its all recent gear so would it be a new panel job or is it a full system swap?

Wireless would be a complete system swap.

To be fair charges are coming in for them all, how much you paying in charges?
Look at swapping to a cheaper provider if possible.

Texecom say they wont charge for there V2 app visibility product ever, but they do charge for the V2 management option which doesnt really help end users to be fair.

Im not getting charged yet but from what I've read it will be far more than the ability to turn my alarm off from distance once in a blue moon is worth.
I just need a direct network connected system, similar to my cctv.

Let's see replacing.the alarm will cost X and they are likely to charge if they don't already.

£30 a year and the cost of a basic kit current prices would give 8 year's subscription, add app cons units and that's another few years.

May come too CCTV in the future, indeed some services exist in this field also

The Honeywell Galaxy Flex or Dimension with GX app or SelfMon app is free and direct to the panel. You can get free push notifications via Honeywell, or a more comprehensive self monitoring messaging and path checking capability with SelfMon for £1 a month. All completely optional with no ties.
