I'm looking to get our bedroom coved. I have purchased the coving, (Supercove lightweight stuff), and plenty of adhesive.
The room is approx 3.6m x 4m and will require 2 external mitres and 5 internal. The walls and ceilings are all prepared and clean.
Any ideas how long it should take to complete and what sort of price I should be looking to pay somebody to do it please? Just looking for straight install, I'm quite happy to paint it myself.
Thanks

If all the materials were supplied by you I'd charge about £300 but I'm in the Midlands and know London prices would be more. It sounds like a worker and a workers mate are doing your job!

I used plaster coving, installing flameable polyurethane in the house would worry me, I know it's not quite as bad as the ceiling tiles, but....
Fitting plaster coving yourself is really not that difficult. I just keyed the plaster along the wall, added nails for support every few feet, then stuck it in place with Thistle, allowed it to set then removed the nails and patched any small gaps.

I appreciate that fitting the coving can be a bit of a pain, but I couldn't believe he's trying to charge me £150.00 for painting a few metres of coving!! No cutting in to do as the ceiling has just been painted, and I'm not looking for anything elaborate, just a single coat of matt vinyl slapped on it.
Not being funny, but I reckon I could knock that out in a couple of hours tops, and do a decent job of it.
I didn't want the painting done anyway, I said I would do it myself, but he "offered" the price anyway.
Who is he, Rembrandt?????
