Hi All,

I have a question on BR about angled doors.
Due to the position of my stairs to the loft, it has resulted in potential having to cut and corner of one of the first floor bedroom door.

Does this break any BR? I can't find any that it does.

Any advice will be useful here.

All I would add is ..... is it a fire door? It's quite difficult to cut a great chunk out of a fire door without invalidating the fire certificate.

It will be a fire door. Does this mean I might need to check with the manufacturer or get a bespoke door?

If its a fire door you'd have to start off with a fire door blank and then add the lipping after it's been cut down.

Make sure it is a solid core fire door blank. Some of the fire door blanks just have solid stiles, head and bottom rail so you can trim them down but if you cut off too much you run into the composite core and the door falls apart.
