hello again,

I think there may be a fault with one of my PIRs. it has always worked.. until now.
This pir was set as Entry / exit 2 in (attributes 1), and Zone type Guard.
therfore in Part arm if triggered would set the entry exit tones.. and has worked as it should for a while now..
this morning i have tested the pir with full arm and part arm and there is no trigger at all.. the LED lights up but will not trigger the alarm.. all other Pir work as they should. Walk test shows Pir working as it should
The panel is a elite 48.. the Pir is an AFF-0001 Grade 2 . wired to keypad 1 zone 2 mapped to zone 10, the panel has Dc filter and Ac filter Ac accross DC and earth is 0.8 v.
has anyone come accross this before.. any other tests to make.. my gut feeling says order a new PIR..

There was a bug in the Texecom software where when the system was part set a few times with out a full arm the sensor did not respond until you had full set alarm. The quick fix was to make that zone entry exit only.
How old is your panel. This happen approx late 2018 panels

cheers mate, panel is only a few months old TBH. the PIR wont respond even on full set. but will on walk test.
ive changed the programing of that zone to zone type entry exit only.. still no joy

Swap fault pir onto another zone that you know works. If same problem, then pir faulty.

If you lounge pir works, then just swap faulty pir pcb with the lounge pcb one and see if this works. All you want to prove is that device faulty.

ok mate, thanks , wasnt sure if you guys had a wonderous test of sorts... will give you a shout on my findings
