Gutter sealant use?

Hi

I'm going to be replacing some guttering on my house that is hard to reach. I'm wondering if, when I install the new guttering, I should use gutter sealant on all the joins because future access will be so difficult?

Is this poor practice? Should brand new gutters be water-tight if well installed.

I'll likely be getting the guttering from Wickes or another shed.

Just test the gutter after you have installed it to make sure you have clipped all the joints properly and have proper runs.
No need to fill the joints with sealant.

No need for any sealant, all the fitting include the seals. Just ensure that the gutter can easily slide through the brackets as in expands and contracts with the weather, rather than being gradually 'walked out' of a fitting seal over time.

I've just had new guttering installed and speaking to floplast the manufacturer recommended spraying silicon onto the rubber seals before installation as it helps to prolong the life of the seal and rubber.
