Hello,

Looking for some advice on what I can do with this tree in the front.

I’ve been told it needs a bigger stake, to grow straighter.

I’ve also been told it needs removing completely as the roots will pull the pavement up etc

Thiughts?

I would be removing that tree:

'The tree's aggressive roots seek water, prying open cracks or joints in sewer or irrigation systems. Birch roots are among the most aggressive -- and destructive -- tree roots.'

Also the tree 'drops' most of the year, with it's spread up to 25 ft wide, your car would be covered with all sorts, let alone birds droppings.

The landscaper is back at some point tk relay some turf so will try and grab him and get his opinion.
