Self levelling compound on a shed floor

I have a 3m x 3m Steeltech shed in the garden which has a concrete floor. Due to bad advice from the builder I sealed the floor with PVA. On dry days it does the job fine and keeps the dust down. However as PVA (I used Evo-Stik) is not waterproof, when it's raining the PVA sticks to my wet shoes and pulls up a mix of PVA and concrete.

To rectify the issue my first thought was to remove the PVA and then (using advice from a post here) to apply a hardener or epoxy. However I was chatting to a guy who told me removing the PVA would be an absolute nightmare. He said to instead pour down some self levelling compound. With SLC you need to prime it beforehand and can prime it with PVA, so no need to remove the PVA. I think I might go with this option.
Any issues with this?
Is SLC waterproof?
How thick I need to make the SLC?
Any other recommendations or advise?

Could you not just put down some carpet or vinyl sheet instead?

Thanks for the suggestion to use vinyl sheet. Carpet wouldn't be suitable for a shed but I think vinyl should do the trick.

I priced up the vinyl sheet and it's not that cheap. A good quality one costs about €20-25 per square metre. And I'd require 9m (shed is 3m x 3m). The SLC would cost a fraction of that.

You should be able to get a bit for about £60. Either cheap new at £6/m or remnants.

Yes i mixed the PVA with water first, the ratio was whatever it said on the tub when used as a sealant. I think it was 4:1.

Don't know how well it would work, but I would be tempted to try sealing what you've got at the minute with SBR, then if that seems to work paint on top.

Not sure what the best ratio to water for SBR is, but I have used it both neat and 50:50 on to seal floors

If you want to cover with SLC then Ardex NA is OK with damp. However most SLC still require a wear layer on top i.e. something like vinyl so you may not gain anything!

Would 3mm thick SLC not be suitable as the top layer? What sort of problem could happen if I did not cover it with something else e.g. SLC crack?

We have some old carpet on the wood floor of our 12 x 8 shed, it works just fine. No good where a floor is damp of course. Another shed has a lino floor covering - I don't know where it came from, but it has a tough high grip surface, which is almost like stepping on a sharp grit. It sparkles when the sun catches it.

Plenty of offcuts of commercial vinyl on eBay, search for "safety" flooring, Altro, Polyflor etc.

Anyone know if you can mix SBR with PVA i.e. put a coat of SBR down over the PVA coated floor?
