How to fit a toilet seat on hidden access

We have a Villeroy & Bosche toilet.
I need to replace the toilet seat.
Accessing the underside of the screw is impossible.
I've already done once!
That was 9 years ago - but I've forgotten how!

I looked up on a video.
The guy uses what he refers to as a 'toggle zip'.
I'm pretty sure I used the same.

Can't find anything on screw fix.
On ebay, I find. BUT, there seem to be other alternatives as well.

What should I use?

Getting the existing screw out seems to be a mission. I spent 90 minutes wrestling, before my memory jogged.

So, any tips on that would be great as well.

Those are toggle fixings but will be no good for a toilet seat as they will go rusty very quickly.

OP, just google top fixing toilet seat. Loads available from many suppliers.

The toggle zip thing... I can't find for sale in many places.
I found one place... it's £40 - seems a bit silly.

You said in your original post that you need to replace the toilet seat. The new seat will come with the hinges and fixings. If you just want to refit the old seat, the Toolstation bits will probably work. For 6 quid they're worth a try.

Oh... I see
I got a toilet seat from screwfix - haven't opened yet.
The instructions show how to fit by accessing the underneath.
A little confused now.
I assumed I needed an extra attachment to fit into the concealed toilet.
I can actually see something that looks very similar to the toolstation bits - but nothing is mentioned in the instructions.
