Yesterday evening I went out over Lakeside and bought some clobber for my upcoming holiday (fingers crossed). A pair of trainers, three T-Shirts, some shorts, a pair of jeans and a pair of Chino's. Couldn’t try the Chino's on as the changing rooms were closed off. I’m back off out in a minute to change them for a larger size!

A cup of coffee, sat outside on the terrasse in the sun, in a normally quiet village, but it was market day, so quite busy.

A new battery for Mrs Harvey’s iPhone,...£20 inc fitting. Took the guy all of 10 mins to fit it. Can’t argue with that.

Stopped at the garden centre on the way home and after a meander round for an hour or so I bought some extra Petunias for the back garden hanging baskets.

A very exhausting day really.

Complained to my wife last week that my heavy duty stapler had seen better days and was now jamming up too often.
Came home to find a Titan TTB515STP electric staple gun.
It's the dogs *******s! Takes all sizes upto 15mm staples or nails. :D

Had a free eye test today (over 60). Bought some glasses in Specsavers and chose some rather natty Superdry frames. Were £129, reduced to £69 in the sale and they had another offer - you get second pair free if spending £69 or over. So, an eye test and 258 quids worth of glasses for £69. Bargain!

Specsavers do free eye tests, even if you are under 60, not all the time, but fairly regularly.

Mrs Mottie, 59, went a few weeks ago, same branch, and she had to pay. I can put the cost of that through the firm though. I think my last one was free. Used a voucher on the back of a car parking ticket!

If she uses a screen at work then they're obliged to pay for the test.
