What have you been doing today?

'Twas me, though it depends if you have soft or hard neck garlic, soft neck garlic don't have them. If you cut them off early it should help boost the size of the bulb.

I was inspecting them only this morning and I’m pretty sure one of them has a scape on it. It’s round, not like a leaf, with a point at the end that looks like it might turn into a seed pod. I’ll keep my eye on it. (y)

Watching telly. Amazon Prime, Netflix and Apple TV+. Just flicking between them. Was supposed to be over the allotment all day planting out but rain put paid to that. :(

After our morning dog walk, we popped round our friends to see her litter of working Cockers as they are all going to new owners next week. I wish now we'd had one. She'll be breeding her again in about 18 months/two years time so may have one from that litter.

They were all playing for a while then they all went back into their bed and one by one, they fell asleep. Aah!

Went over the allotment tonight to do some watering. In the poly tunnel, there is a water butt. Idea being that the water is the same temperature as the plants so that a warm plant doesn’t get a shock with cold water. Anyway, it comes out slowly from the water butt tap so I took a piece of wood off of the top to dip my water can in and I found this little fella! Feck knows how he got in there but another hot day like today and he would have been boiled! I fished him out and let him go outside the poly tunnel.

Just received a message from my daughter in law. Her and my son have just taken on an allotment and are growing their seeds at home ready to plant out. She sent me this:

Just been up to Specsavers and had my eyes tested. Last time was 4 years ago! Mid and long distance okay, photo and puff test fine but had to go up one strength on my reading glasses.

While I was in there, guess who I bumped into.

Just saw a crow being sick on my lawn! I chased it off and then had a look at what it had chucked up. I think the feather may have tickled its throat. Poor chick. :(

I’m watching a plane and a helicopter flying back and forth over our house very, very close together. I think they must be shooting a film or something - they’re swerving all over the place!

Had to move some fairly hefty switchgear this morning, basically swing it 90 deg, I engaged the services of a South African prop forward and it really paid off, even bought me a bacon butty, top guy

Been doing a spot of money laundering, left my wallet in my work pants pocket, it dropped out when Mrs CB hung them on the line, never ever done that before, been a pretty stressful week work wise maybe it got to me more than I thought, been leaving tools behind on jobs too, time to hang up the pliers maybe

I think that is a company called Planes TV, (or something like that). They do a lot of close up shots of warbirds, especially Spitfires, Hurricanes, (think that s Hurri in your photo, looking at the wingtips), and PA474 The Lancaster Bomber.
They posted some cracking shots on the BBMF site and on their own website.
