What have you been doing today?

@Mottie You've shown us you have a garden so why do you have/want an allotment as well? Just curious.
My garden is about the size of a postage stamp! Anyway, the garden is Mts Motties domain - I’m just the labourer for milady.

Not when its £200
Watcha talking about - all this extra land for a couple of hundred quid? Bargain! (Who left that bloody gate open again?) :p

I was over the allotment today and I heard of one plot holder who said he will be giving his plot up at the end of the season. He seems to have let it go a bit this year. It’s a better plot than mine - slightly bigger, has regularly been dug over and fed, better soil - he's regularly sieving it, all of the plot is in full sun all day and it’s right next to the water trough. I’ve got in early and asked the allotment manager to give me first dibs on it if he does actually leave. I won’t keep two plots though, I’ll just move my shed and my perennials - one plot is enough work!

Back to paid work today after 4 hectic days building my new shed and getting it waterproofed before the heavy rains we are due over the next 3 days.
Saves me the trouble of hosing it over I suppose.:LOL::LOL:

Just been up the bottle bank. Couldn’t get them all in the skip so I had to leave some beside it. Phew, that’s it for another month.

This is my actual bottle bank in Sainsbury’s. We must like a drink round these parts!

A mates brother died a couple of years ago due to drink, when he cleared his house it took 12 trips to the BB in his Mondeo estate to get rid of the vodka bottles

Started building my pergola, 11 year old son helped me by holding the posts steady. First 2 posts went in during the day with 30 degree heat, 2nd 2 in the evening with cool rain.

Couldnt you have just had an emergency plan to chuck tarps over the swing and the trampoline? :ROFLMAO:

that would have probably worked. I did similar for my dad's 70th, but had wooden fascias on the garage that I could screw hooks into, and used some poles and lots of bungy ropes.

But want something that we can keep up. The garden has almost no shade at midday and the patio is in full sun from midday to sunset, so it needs something - I almost never sit at the table as always too hot.

Besides, this is more fun!
