Another 4 weeks…

Really?

The pubs and restaurants have always been open since march 2020 in your area?

And you've been allowed to always visit friend's houses throughout?

Could you have had a weekend break with 2 other families last year?

Unless you've been breaking all the draconian laws, you have had to wait for permission to do such things

Before? Why change the subject? I was replying specifically to Ellal saying "draconian laws which now control"

Nobody crying about these current Draconian laws seems to be able to give an example of something that is affecting them. But I guess some people are just snowflakes and get upset over the tiniest little things. Couldn't sit on a park bench for a few weeks last year, boo hoo!

Anyway, last year at the start there was a lot of panic and worry, and the police got some things wrong. Being outside is a good thing and contrary to some accounts, the virus does not spread well in open outdoor places.

But, even if you still couldn't sit on a park bench, do you think that is a Draconian law? Come on!

I was answering your question:

How many of those activities did you have to wait to get governmental permission to do so?

I did not get permission to do any of the things I said I did. I did not need to get permission, just wait for your so-called Draconian laws to be lifted.

But, why do you think they were Draconian? Did the government kill anybody flouted the rules?

And, again, please tell me, what is it you can't do now? Because you said you are still suffering from these so-called Draconian rules now.

Are you really? Or is it just that you like to pretend you are, while sitting in a pub and having a few pints in the sly when nobody is looking?

Crazy thing is that if they extended the mask usage aspects a bit things could be nearly normal. It would allow all sorts to be open. Eating and drinking could mean tables only and if not at them wear it but a small penalty really.

The things are now known to be effective and while some are likely to still catch it numbers should remain relatively low.

Early posts suggest the NHS app does have some benefits if it lets people know they have been in an outbreak. Also some sane restaurant owners.

TRUTH:-Approximately 11000 people die every week in UK, it's just a fact of life. The number that supposedly die of covid is a small fraction of that and recent reports indicate that at least 40%of those probably didn't die of covid although they had it at the time.
Masks are no guarantee of immunity because viruses often float about in "aerosol form", only the expensive tight fitting PP3 masks used by NHS carers are of any real use. Mask wearing is just one of Boris's silly rules, like elbowing and 2 metres. I mean you can be one end a bus and an infected person can be at the other end and both wearing masks but eventually some of his breath will reach you. That is a perfect example of how people are getting it despite all this stupid mask wearing business.
Milllions have died of 'flu over the many years that it has been around but we have never done lockdowns in the past with all the misery and poverty they create whenever there has been a 'flu epidemic.
Viruses mutate all the time - the current fashion is to call them variants rather than mutants for some unknown reason. It will not be long before there will be another, then another. Is this doughbag prime minister going to keep having lockdowns every time a fresh one appears until half the population is in abject poverty - just to keep the paranoid death nutters happy?

Masks are no guarantee of immunity
Nobody said they were.

Masks aren't to protect the wearer, they protect other people. Masks reduce the distance and viral load of somebody asymptomatic.

you are comparing deaths figures for Covid that happened despite massive non pharmaceutical interventions with flu deaths where no interventions occurred.

Had there been no restrictive interventions the Covid death toll would've been higher.

In any case Covid is far worse than flu

Is this doughbag prime minister going to keep having lockdowns every time a fresh one appears

No.

The reason is because not enough people have been vaccinated yet - the vaccines aren't that effective on a single jab against the latest variant.

I did not get permission to do any of the things I said I did. I did not need to get permission
So you were breaking the law then?

Because the rest of the country had to abide by the restrictions by decree until given permission otherwise...

Are you going to ignore the latest decree soon to be announced by our 'glorious leader'?
And, again, please tell me, what is it you can't do now? Because you said you are still suffering from these so-called Draconian rules now.
May I suggest you check out what the 'emergency legislation' allows the government to do and come back to us with your findings...

On second thoughts don't bother...

They can do pretty much what they like!

The winter lockdown was caused by a variant. Should we have just pushed through without a lockdown?

Imo carry on as usual...

How many people die from the flu each 'normal' year?

And as is repeatedly ignored, how many died with the 'virus' not because of it?

Apparently nobody died because of the flu according to the same department that are fiddling the 'virus' figures by their own admission!
