De-Hums do not have traps, I have seen loads of in-line Non-Return valves fitted to the clear plastic run of pipes. All of the "specialist" drying Contractors use them, so they must be available.
Most common run of is into a WC or into the sink.just fit the clear plastic tubing so it does not move and slowly cascade the water back on to the floor, seen that as well.
Have also seen the plastic pipes taken up and out of a letter box ?? it was working??
Another short answer, no I have not seen the plastic discharge pipe taken directly into a soil pipe, the [thousands] of ones i have seen all drain into a sink or WC, or as above out the front door.
What type of machine do you have? and what "capacity?" IE, L/ day?
I use a dehumidifier in my garage and that drains out through a hose. I got fed up with emptying it so ran a pipe out through the door by about 12" and the water just runs away down the drive.
The water tank on mine does have a hose outlet though which was just blocked off with a rubber bung. All I had to do was remove this and connect a hose - easy!
